5 reasons why brands use social media

This week I’m in Africa presenting to CARE colleagues on my office’s work in communications and social media. One of my topics will be on a simple question I get all the time but is surprisingly difficult to answer – why do it in the first place?

It’s immensely difficult to tie exact dollar amounts to social channels, and even when we do, they tend to be much lower than more mature channels. So what’s the point?
